We have long believed
that the best exercise is any
activity that you enjoy doing that will increase your heart
rate for a period of 30 minutes per day. That
includes walking by yourself, walking your dog,
swimming etc.
The American Heart Association states that you can
gain the same benefit from two heart rate
appropriate 15 minute sessions as one consecutive
30 minute session. Or you can strive for 10,000
steps a day. Can't count that many steps. Try
buying an inexpensive pedometer or....
You can also modify your lifestyle by parking your
car further from the grocery store, cleaners, dry
cleaners. This will result in you increasing the
number of steps (activity) that you take in the
day.
